Good Bye House

This is what is left of our home. Not a pretty picture is it?
When we came back to MN to take care of my dad we had a leak in the roof. Despite the many time hubby went over and re roofed it, it still leaked. And we were here so long that it wrecked the house. Oh how I cried.
Why would any one cry over a house? Well let me tell you.
This damn house is special.
We bought the house back in 1999. In 2000 my dad came over to stay with us so he could go to an all school reunion. Well he kept telling me he knew this house. I said I don't know how dad we just bought it. Then it came to him. He dated a girl who lived there. And the stories.... OH MY LANTA!
I didnt need to hear these stories.
I met the woman who used to live in our house and yes she verified every thing my dad said (again I didn't need to hear this)
Now my house is gone! DAMNIT! I love that little house. Good -bye house I will miss you. Now I gotta figure out what to do with the land now. Rebuild or sell!

Way to big Doncha think?

This is Our oldest grandson and me.
We raised him from a baby. he's about 6'3" talk about 300 lbs. and yeah not a baby any more. But grandma calls him baby all the time. I told him he will always be my baby.
When he was little we always told him he could come crawl in bed with us if he had nightmares. He text  me the other night and said he had a very bad night mare, can he come sleep with me? LOL
Umm well that is kinda hard. 1st you live way down town, 2nd it's the middle of the night. and 3rd well your a little too big to crawl in bed with me and grandpa now. He goes I know but it helps to talk to you. I know. I miss him. I mean I knew he was gonna move out some day. after all he is 19 now. But well in my mind's eye he is still 3.
He's still the little boy that climbed up the ladder to help grandpa up on the pole barn and freaked out grandma.
He's still the little boy who helped grandpa "build" the pole barn by nailing in a 5" spike that took him all day to get into the barn, but he was so persistent that he wouldn't give it up.
He is also the same little boy who every time we tried to go some place with out him would cry till he made himself sick and screamed I go with grandpa I go too.
I have a story for you.
He was three. we were here at this house in MN and our daughter was trying to keep him with her. (she wanted to take responsibility for him but he wasnt having it) It was the middle of the week and we were talking about taking a trip to South Dakota that weekend. We asked her if there was any way she could try to keep him? She said sure, she didn't have the problem but he did. Well about that time I said "Hey where is Tj?" and all of a sudden we hear...bump, bump, bump and here comes Tj with a suitcase bigger than him dragging behind him. We asked him if he was going some place? He said "yes South Dakota with grandpa and grandma." We laughed and said we aren't going right now and he started to cry because last time we said that we left with out him and then had to come back and get him. Daughter picked up suitcase and said"OMG what do you have in here rocks?" He goes "no my clothes" sure enough we opened it and he had it packed for a week with all the right clothes.  Underwear and socks included! HE WAS GOING WITH!
Well he did go with. We looked at houses out there and every time we went into a house he would run into a bedroom and go this one is mine. I whispered to hubby "what is he gonna do when he finds out he isn't coming with?" Hubby said "I dont know" Some times when he said this is my room I would say oh no that would be grandma and grandpa's room nut-ball! its the master bedroom and thats ours.
Well when we finally did buy a house he did move with us he had the small bedroom only for about 1 week then he took over the master bedroom and pretty soon we had his baby brother Aj living with us as well. (another long story)
And some how even though we came back to MN and he was suppose to be with mom he would only be with her a short time them beg us to let him come home to live with us again. And we would always figure out a way to bring him back to live with us. We are more his mom and dad than his grandparents but then again we are both!
As far as crawling into bed with us when he has a nightmare? He better just call me, because I dont thing he can fit in between grandpa and me any more!

My husband is trying to kill me!

So Sunday night we are here eating dinner. I get up and go out to kitchen to get a glass of milk. As I come back out into the living room and take a big swallow of milk hubby says something that is funnier than heck......I try I really try not to laugh, and I also try to swallow the milk in my mouth. It didn't work, I started to choke milk come flying outta my mouth all over the carpet and I run for the bathroom tears pouring from my eyes, and almost ready to wet my pants.
It was so funny NOT!
Then last night I am sitting here next to him and I'm eating a candy cane (yes I know I shouldn't eat one yet but there was no chocolate in the house) and there was a commercial on tv and what ever they said on there he miss heard and he said to me what he thought they said and of course I went to laugh candy in my mouth (minty flavor) and I inhale and start to choke and have to run to the bathroom again tears pouring down my face and almost wetting my pants again.
I tell him if your trying to kill me over dose me on my meds but don't choke me to death!
He laughs and he tells me he's not but it was pretty dang funny! NOT

What is wrong with some people?

I'm angry!
Oh my god am I angry.
Several years ago a young man whom I dearly loved like my son. He was sorta even seeing my daughter even though I knew what the reason behind that was.
Well you got it 9 months later along came my little Logan.
And the father?
Well he had all kinds of promises...but he was already married.
He was talking divorce. He told us so many different stories. None which were true.
Well then they wanted to share him.
Well daughter wanted support.
They took him off and on.
support came once in  awhile.
Long story short daughter ended up going to court forgiving back payments to start anew and he could have Logan every other weekend.
Went well for awhile. Then he lost (OK I'm not sure on the order of this) But first his grandma then his mom. they passed away and threw him into a spiral.
Now he doesn't have a job and can't work (he can he just wont)
they went back to court because his license was suspended because he hadn't been paying child support. Daughter had nothing to do with this county did.
Judge ruled he needed to get a job and no he couldn't lower his monthly payments (they were already at the lowest possible,
So weekend comes its daddy's weekend and Logan is at daddy's BUT
Daddy isn't there. WHY?
Because mum found out daddy has been cheating once again and caught him. she kicked him out. WHILE LOGAN IS THERE!
Really? COME ON! Wait till you have brought him home.
So now Logan is upset about his daddy. Daughter is upset cause she knows support will completely stop.
AND this is NOT the first time he has pulled this crap. He has about 4 other kids older than Logan.
He is old enough to know better and to do this in front of his 7 year old! YEAH I AM NOT HAPPY.
He better not show up around here cause I will let him have a piece of my mind and maybe even a kick in the ass.

T.G.I.F.

Well It's Friday at last. So much going on.

I need to say one thing, with G-man's death it has brought a lot of bloggers together again. We are even talking about getting together in Ann Arbor MI. This time I'm going. I am not going to let "things" hold me back. Last time they had a get together I wanted to go I even got almost ready to go. But my weight held me back. I was not "sure" of myself. I didn't want others to see me like I was. SO I stayed home. Now it's too late. They all have memories of that weekend. I have regrets.

I know hubby and I have so much stuff going on and it may be difficult but some how some way I'm going to attend.  WHY? Because we are all getting older not younger and we can't turn the clock back and well you know that saying Sh*t Happens! Yeah it does. SO Yes I'm going.
I know one thing I'm going to be doing between now and then .....watching all the food intake so I'm not adding weight on/ EVEN THOUGH I KNOW THEY WILL ALL LOVE ME JUST AS I AM!
Have a great weekend. I may be back tomorrow or Monday God willing.

Updates

So it's been awhile. And due to the death of a Blogger friend, a lot of us are stating to Blog again. Get back to where we started. Most of us have new screens, some have same ones. I have a new one.
So Updates:

What has been happening in the world of me in the last several months?

Well if any of you have been on Face Book you have seen all my updates. And for those of you who aren't here goes:

Last year in June hubby retired. We were already to move to Florida. Then we got a call that our granddaughter's mom was using drugs and our granddaughter needed a place to live could we possibly take her? Well, yes of course. The last time her mom was "busted" we were in South Dakota working on tearing our home down, so they put our granddaughter in a foster home. BIG MISTAKE! She was put there with her dad's new girlfriends two sons and well she wasn't treated well. So we unpacked and took our granddaughter in. About 2 weeks later our oldest son (her father) asked if he could stay here with us for a week. against my better judgement I said ok. Well he moved in with his girlfriend and then her two boys and 7 months later was still here. Yes they paid rent both of them and she even paid me for watching her boys BUT they both drank and got into fights all the time and we were forever telling them to either get out or we were calling the police. NOT GOOD FOR MY BP.
Well our granddaughter left before her dad and his girlfriend did. I missed her so much. After having her for almost a whole year then all of a sudden she was gone.
In the mist of all this our oldest grandson who was 18 moved out. Yes that should be good but he wasn't finished with school. At first he kept going, then he just dropped out. Broke my heart cause he was in his last year.
Well, we finally got everyone out of our house, and I starting telling hubby I was having problems seeing. He said go get your eyes checked. I needed surgery. I had cataracts. So the month of July got sent up for that. Then I finally talked with my arthritis doctor about the lump in my arm and he sent me to another doctor who asked "do you want it out?" DUH! So he put me in the middle of my two eye surgeries so that every Weds in the month of July after the 4th I had surgery. Then in August hubby had surgery on his left shoulder. In Sept he had surgery on his right shoulder. And then in Nov. he had total hip replacement surgery, on his left hip.
Ok so you would think all is finally on right track right? NOPE
In the month of July just before my surgeries our daughter and her 3 boys moved in (we barely got over our oldest son and his girlfriend and her two boys moving out)
So now we have a house full again.
AND then my knee swells up. I try icing it. then heat. I elevate it. the swelling does not go down.
So after Thanksgiving I call the doctor and go in. He does x-ray. it's clear. So he drains it and gives me a shot of cortisone. Well that helps some but it still hurts and is still swollen. He sends me to have an MRI done. I get it done and he calls me and says I have a torn something or other in my knee. I can 1) learn to live with it (but it will not get better) or 2) have surgery. So I'm waiting to hear about that.
I just went to my neurologist yesterday and got good news there. Since I have my migraines under control (I haven't had to go in to the hospital in a very long time to get a shot) I don't have to come see him any more. I need to stay on the meds I'm currently taking which my regular doctor can prescribe for me. YAY I don't need one extra doctor any more!
So there ya are pretty much caught up.
Our house in South Dakota ....we hired someone to tear it down for us, to fill in the hole and take away the debris. All for the cost of all 5 of my tractors. UGH I did NOT like that hubby made that deal! But at least the city will be happy. We also have several people interested in buying it now, so yeah looks like that will be wrapped up too. Then maybe just maybe this spring (unless hubby needs his other hip done) we can finally go to Florida! I hope so.
I keep thinking about G-Man's death and about how short life really is.  He died just before his 65th birthday. I'm already 60. So it really brings to mind  how quickly stuff can change. Value life more now. And if your gonna do something you might want to do it NOW because you just never know what tomorrow will bring (or even today) This year has been a year of many losses for me. My own cousin lost her husband to cancer at a young age  (he was in his 40's) Another friend from Face Book also lost her battle with cancer. and I have yet another close friend whom I used to date way back in the day who also is battling cancer. You really never know the twist and turns of this thing called life. Live it to the fullest and love those who mean the most to you. Don't fight and if you do make up its not worth it to be angry or hold a grudge because if you don't say sorry now you might never get the chance to.
See you tomorrow God willing.
