Whole new life

Well we have sold our home of 40+ years and let me tell you trying to empty out that house of important items only was almost impossible. But we did it. and then we bought a new camper, our last camper is 20 years old and the fridge stopped working we had no hot water heater and well there were some holes in the roof plus several spots in the floor were weak. SO it was time. We looked and looked and looked. AND then we got the wrong one. BUT we will live with it. It's a 2020 Keystone Cougar. First thing we did was move the kitchen table (something we rarely use anyways) over by the door and moved both recliners over to where the table used to be.....WHY? Well lets put it this way recliner 1 was sitting right in front of the door so if you were sitting in that chair reclining at all you were blocking the door and could barely see the tv where it is. Recliner 2 had to be moved every time you closed the slide....Now I don't know about you but we just don't need to move a recliner every single time you close the slide. So it seemed to be a better fit to move them around. Where recliner 2 was is now where the litter box for Lucky is. The table is where recliner 1 was by the door and we don't use it for much any thing except storing stuff on it. There are several other things I wanna change but we will do that soon. Up next is our daughter's wedding. Which is Saturday Oct 19th 2019. Then for us it's off to FL for the winter. We are staying in Bonita Springs at Citrus Park. Till April 2020. While in FL we will be looking for a home. Hopefully we will find one. Till then Tune in.

Bad news

On Friday my baby sister Called to let me know her husband had been in an accident. He was on his motorcycle. He dont wear a helmet. So I worried how bad it was. Well tonight I learned how bad it was. First off learned it was a drunk lady who hit him and kept going. She did finally pull over called police and said I think I just hit someone. She was arrested. Brother in law lost his pinky finger on his left hand. And his left leg on down is a mess. He has pins and rods in his leg. and his toes well I think they are trying to save them. He has another surgery on friday he has already had 4. But he is alive. THANK GOD FOR THAT

October

October is my favorite month. First we have out boys birthday's  on the 16th. Jack Jr  the oldest was born first and then Timothy was born 4 years later on same day. And Oh what a day that was when Tim was born. We had taken Jack to the store to pick out his own birthday present (that was the going thing that year) and as he was going up and down the aisles looking at all the toys, Pain washed over me so bad I grabbed hubby arm and said we need to go now this baby is coming. When we got to the hospital the nurse said well you waited to long we cant prep you cause this baby is already crowning. SO as much as I was praying the baby not be born on his brother's birthday he was.
Then we have Halloween. (see I'm a witch in secret)
and Oh how I love to decorate for Halloween. Christmas is a close second to decorating......Oh I guess Hubby just informed me Christmas is first and Halloween is second. He says when I have enough decorations to do 7 large trees as well as 7 mini trees (the mini trees are all themed)Plus all the yard decorations and all the inside decorations not counting whats on the trees I cant say Halloween is first.
He is right. I have only 1/4 Halloween decorations compared to the Christmas decorations. One reason that is is that I had to toss some of the Halloween ones after a bad storm we had that ruined over half of the decorations that I had out. I want to buy more but money is an issue right now.

Speaking of Money:

Our home of 40+ years was in foreclosure. It all stated when we moved to South Dakota and our oldest son Jack moved in. He paid us the house payment each month so that was ok. But he let other thing go like homeowners insurance. Then we found out that they were using this house a a drug house. and there was a BIG fight between him and one other guy living here and the damage they did to the house was so bad. We took the mortgage payments to try to fix the house. both doors were ripped off, almost all the windows were broke, every wall in the house had holes and the floor had been destroyed. When we tried to get them to pay for it the judge said did you have a renters contract with them? We said no one was our son. He said well then you let your son live there so he was given permission to be there. We said no because actually our daughter was one suppose to be there they had kicked her out. He said either way he had been paying the rent each month so case closed. We fell behind on mortgage and soon it was in foreclosure. We knew the only way we could save it was sell my family farm. But the guy who wanted to buy it at first had a problem getting approved for the money. So time went on and we got closer to having to move out. At the very last minute guy who wanted to buy got the money and we rushed over signed papers got the money came back and on the very last day we saved our home of 40+ years. So now we had the biggest worry off our shoulders but now we no longer have extra money coming in nor extra money to live on in our retirement. But we have our home.

cars winter and this and that

This is our grandson's car after his 2nd accident. The first accident he had, his tire blew while he was on the freeway and he spun out and hit two highway signs. He wasn't hurt shook but not hurt. This accident he missed the stop sign and hit a mini van with a family in. That's his car above after second accident. Same car that also hit the highway signs but he only had to replace the drivers side back door. Now it's totalled. Worse part is he says he must have blacked out or something because he woke up in the passenger seat not the driver's seat. So this week Grandpa and him have been looking for a new car. And we have been talking to him that he needs to really drive more slower and carefully cause next time he might not be so lucky. everyone in the mini van seems to be ok. although they did take the mom to hospital on a stretcher. But he said he traumatized those kids. I hope he has learn ed his lesson though and drives slower and much more carefully.
And now:
I had hope hubby and I would be living in Florida by now. I can't do winter with my health the way it is. But this house has 40+ years of stuff (junk) that we are going through. Some things I just refused to get rid of. so we pack it to move. Then we go though the box again and I toss it saying I really don't need this. Which is part true and mostly not. So I guess we are staying here again another winter I will be staying in side to prevent me taking a fall. Yeah I know you call fall in the house as well but I feel safer in the house than out.

AND:
we are finally empty Nester's. All our children all our grandchildren have moved out.
and as write that oldest grandson is now back. he had been sleeping at his mom's but she only has 3 bedrooms and one isn't suppose to be a bedroom. SO he has been sleeping on the couch . so when any one gets up and wants to watch t.v. they bother his sleep. And daughter is now engaged and he is living there as well and he is the first to come out and turn on the T.V. So he doesn't get much sleep and some times he works till 2 in the morning. So he asked if he could please come back till he had enough money saved to get his own apartment. SO we said yes of course after all we have 3 extra bed rooms now.
So as I wrap this up, we are still here in Minnesota. Oldest grandson (not the one who had accident) has moved back in and the grandson who did have accident has found a new car.  Lucky the cat is 10 years old and Fishstick the goldfish is also still with us after 9 years. They say they can live 9 years so each morning I wake up thinking this might be the day and each day that he is still with us I thank god he is still here.  I thank god we are all still here.

Leaned about the pain I have

So for years now I've had pain in my head that wasn't quite a headache but it hurt like a headache. I also had much facial pain. I have a girlfriend I grew up with who said it sounded a lot like what she has which is TN (Trigeminal Neuralgia) So after a lot of hemming and hawing on my part I finally went to my Dr who sent me to a neurologist. Well he tells me it's not NT but it A Typical facial pain. And he said he only had one med to me to try and if that didnt work he didnt have anything more for me to try. Well I went home tried the med and had a really bad reaction. So I went back and he said well only thing we can do is Botox. (ok did you not tell me there was nothing else for me?) I walked out. (Ok hubby was with so he knew what was being said each time and he said lets go and we walked out) My girlfriend kept urging me to call her Neurologist. So finally I did. I went up there and he said yes I have A typicial facial pain with a overcast of TN. (which means it wasnt so bad at this point but could (and will) get worse) So he gave me a med and said now if this dont work we have more to try. So Ok well at first the amount they wanted me to take I couldnt do. But the 1/2 tab at bed time was helping. We are up from that now with Dr's ok. But at least he is right there with me trying to help fight the pain.
Now people if you have no idea what TN is Google it.
I will tell you one of the things I feel................Today its on my left side.......it feels as if someone took a baseball bat and hit my cheek. Now think of July 4th and fireworks. Think of the ones that go up and go pow then crackle crackle crackle......Thats what the pain across my cheek feels like but it doesnt stop. I'm lucky today its only my cheek, usually I have that pain along with sharp jabbing pain in my head. I'm gonna go take a nap.
Trigeminal neuralgia symptoms may include one or more of these patterns:
  • Episodes of severe, shooting or jabbing pain that may feel like an electric shock
  • Spontaneous attacks of pain or attacks triggered by things such as touching the face, chewing, speaking or brushing teeth
  • Bouts of pain lasting from a few seconds to several minutes
  • Episodes of several attacks lasting days, weeks, months or longer — some people have periods when they experience no pain
  • Constant aching, burning feeling that may occur before it evolves into the spasm-like pain of trigeminal neuralgia
  • Pain in areas supplied by the trigeminal nerve, including the cheek, jaw, teeth, gums, lips, or less often the eye and forehead
  • Pain affecting one side of the face at a time, though may rarely affect both sides of the face
  • Pain focused in one spot or spread in a wider pattern
  • Attacks that become more frequent and intense over time

When to see a doctor

If you experience facial pain, particularly prolonged or recurring pain or pain unrelieved by over-the-counter pain relievers, see your doctor.

Causes

In trigeminal neuralgia, also called tic douloureux, the trigeminal nerve's function is disrupted. Usually, the problem is contact between a normal blood vessel — in this case, an artery or a vein — and the trigeminal nerve at the base of your brain. This contact puts pressure on the nerve and causes it to malfunction.
Trigeminal neuralgia can occur as a result of aging, or it can be related to multiple sclerosis or a similar disorder that damages the myelin sheath protecting certain nerves. Trigeminal neuralgia can also be caused by a tumor compressing the trigeminal nerve.
Some people may experience trigeminal neuralgia due to a brain lesion or other abnormalities. In other cases, surgical injuries, stroke or facial trauma may be responsible for trigeminal neuralgia.

Triggers

A variety of triggers may set off the pain of trigeminal neuralgia, including:
  • Shaving
  • Touching your face
  • Eating
  • Drinking
  • Brushing your teeth
  • Talking
  • Putting on makeup
  • Encountering a breeze
  • Smiling
  • Washing your face
