October

October is my favorite month. First we have out boys birthday's  on the 16th. Jack Jr  the oldest was born first and then Timothy was born 4 years later on same day. And Oh what a day that was when Tim was born. We had taken Jack to the store to pick out his own birthday present (that was the going thing that year) and as he was going up and down the aisles looking at all the toys, Pain washed over me so bad I grabbed hubby arm and said we need to go now this baby is coming. When we got to the hospital the nurse said well you waited to long we cant prep you cause this baby is already crowning. SO as much as I was praying the baby not be born on his brother's birthday he was.
Then we have Halloween. (see I'm a witch in secret)
and Oh how I love to decorate for Halloween. Christmas is a close second to decorating......Oh I guess Hubby just informed me Christmas is first and Halloween is second. He says when I have enough decorations to do 7 large trees as well as 7 mini trees (the mini trees are all themed)Plus all the yard decorations and all the inside decorations not counting whats on the trees I cant say Halloween is first.
He is right. I have only 1/4 Halloween decorations compared to the Christmas decorations. One reason that is is that I had to toss some of the Halloween ones after a bad storm we had that ruined over half of the decorations that I had out. I want to buy more but money is an issue right now.

Speaking of Money:

Our home of 40+ years was in foreclosure. It all stated when we moved to South Dakota and our oldest son Jack moved in. He paid us the house payment each month so that was ok. But he let other thing go like homeowners insurance. Then we found out that they were using this house a a drug house. and there was a BIG fight between him and one other guy living here and the damage they did to the house was so bad. We took the mortgage payments to try to fix the house. both doors were ripped off, almost all the windows were broke, every wall in the house had holes and the floor had been destroyed. When we tried to get them to pay for it the judge said did you have a renters contract with them? We said no one was our son. He said well then you let your son live there so he was given permission to be there. We said no because actually our daughter was one suppose to be there they had kicked her out. He said either way he had been paying the rent each month so case closed. We fell behind on mortgage and soon it was in foreclosure. We knew the only way we could save it was sell my family farm. But the guy who wanted to buy it at first had a problem getting approved for the money. So time went on and we got closer to having to move out. At the very last minute guy who wanted to buy got the money and we rushed over signed papers got the money came back and on the very last day we saved our home of 40+ years. So now we had the biggest worry off our shoulders but now we no longer have extra money coming in nor extra money to live on in our retirement. But we have our home.
